A large proportion of leg amputees experience phantom pain at some time, which may substantially affect their everyday life. The pain is usually described as “stabbing” and occurring without warning.
First
The First liner is a clear, soft silicone interface liner that is suitable for below knee (trans-tibial) amputees up to mobility class 2 with good soft tissue coverage. The unique self-gliding surface on the outside of the liner allows the liner to be fitted and removed easily without the need for time consuming sprays. The liner features a 2-zone matrix which reduces shearing forces on the underlying soft tissue. As there is no fabric cover there is no restriction of the liner’s radial elasticity.
First 3
The First 3 liner is a clear, soft silicone interface liner with integrated thicker distal walls to provide additional cushioning. It is suitable for below knee (trans-tibial) amputees up to mobility class 2. It features the unique self-gliding outer surface to allow for easier fitting and removal without the need for alcohol sprays or talcum powder. The liner has a 2-zone matrix which reduces shearing forces on the underlying soft tissue. As there is no fabric cover there is no restriction of the liner’s radial elasticity.
Soft C
The Soft C liner is a skin-coloured silicone interface liner suitable for below knee (trans-tibial) amputees of all mobility classes with good or limited soft tissue coverage. A durable outer textured cover allows the liner to be fitted and removed easily without the need for time consuming sprays. The liner features a 2-zone matrix which reduces shearing forces on the underlying soft tissue. It also benefits from increased puncture resistance ensuring more resistance to everyday use.
Sensitive 3 and 6
The Sensitive liner is a clear silicone interface liner that is suitable for below knee (trans-tibial) amputees up to mobility class 2 with reduced soft tissue coverage and/or scar tissue as the soft silicone provides additional cushioning. A durable outer textured cover allows the liner to be fitted and removed easily without the need for time consuming sprays.
