Meditech IT is specifically designed for the clinical, financial and performance management requirements of NHS Rehabilitation Units and allied disciplines.
MIT’s multi-discipline appointment system allows users to search several diaries simultaneously facilitating improved resource management, reducing patient visits and leading to a reduction of costs for related services such as transport. It is designed as a Whole Process System meaning that the single software package can often do the tasks which currently require three or four separate packages to perform, thus greatly reducing expenditure on both software licenses/support and staff training. The package is supplied as a fully managed system, removing the need for costly support staff.
MIT has also been developed to handle order and invoice processing, job costing and stock control, and is compatible with SBS invoice processing and data export. It includes audit facilities to give greater accountability and assist in clinical governance and evidence based practice.
The package connects to the N3 network via a dedicated NHS gateway.
This significantly speeds up the transfer of data and allows for
external clinics to connect to the service through secure VPN remote
access. All Meditech IT servers are located in Category 1 security
facilities, the most secure available. RSLSTEEPER holds certification
for ISO27001 and ISO9001 TickIT, which are internationally recognised
standards for information security management, quality assurance, IT
development and support.
MIT provides complete real-time management of patient details, including medical notes, episodes of care and a wide range of demographic options.
The software runs on the ‘one patient, one record’ concept, meaning a patient’s entire clinical and financial history, across several rehabilitation disciplines, can be recorded in one place. This enables progress to be monitored and assessed as a whole. Outcome measurement such as Frenchay, Barthel and SIGAM scores can all be recorded, allowing treatment to be focused in the most effective areas.
A centralised letter library lets users create correspondence using patient specific detail taken directly from patient records. This speeds up communication between patients and staff and leads to greater accuracy and a better overall package of care.
MIT offers performance management tools through a comprehensive suite of reports designed to transform real-time data into objective output based key performance indicators. The reports cover all aspects of service including clinical, financial and delivery issues to provide an overall picture of service performance however these reports can be tailored for individual users or specialised reports can be custom written by our IT support team. Putting performance measurement systems in place can be an important way of keeping track on the progress of your service giving vital information about what’s happening now and providing the starting point for a system of target setting that will help implement service development initiatives. An example monitoring report is shown above.
