Jonathan Metz, the 31-year-old Connecticut man who cut off his own arm in June 2010 after becoming trapped in the boiler in his basement told his story on NBC’s Today Show earlier today. Jonathan was recently fit by the Hanger Prosthetics & Orthotics team with the U.S. first production model of the bebionic hand.

Anthony Booth, a Paralympian who had his artificial legs stolen, has been able to walk his sister down the aisle thanks to Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust and RSLSteeper.
Anthony, who lost his legs when he was nine, had been practising for four months to walk without sticks to give away his sister Angela at her wedding on Saturday 26th June. On 12th June, Anthony’s wheelchair and prosthetic legs were stolen, along with his car, and the day before the wedding, he made a national television appeal for the return of his legs ahead of the big day.

With our manufacturing centre based in the U.K., SteeperUSA will distribute our products directly to the US market in addition to providing training, technical support and customer services to customers more locally.

We are pleased to announce that RSLSteeper have entered into a sole distribution agreement enabling SPS to sell the bebionic system to its customers in the United States through its four Distribution Centers in GA, TX, CA and PA. SPS has been a distributor for our Skinergy Plus silicone leg covers in the United States for a number of years and their role will be to introduce, educate and deliver our products to the US Prosthetic Community.

RSLSteeper are delighted to announce the recent extension of their prosthetic contract with Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust to 2014.
