RSLSteeper – An Overview
RSLSteeper is the UK’s premier provider of clinically effective, cost effective and innovative Prosthetic, Orthotic and Assistive Technology solutions. Working in partnership with the NHS we provide clinical and manufacturing services to allow our users to lead, as far as possible, active lives at home, work or within the community.
With over 350 members of staff including around 90 state-registered clinicians and 140 technicians, we provide clinical services to some 200,000 patients. We value our staff and take pride in recruiting the best people and providing on-going professional development.
Our commitment to innovation has led to significant investment in pioneering technology such as state of the art CADCAM and progressive IT solutions ensuring our products and services lead the way in the marketplace.
To support our clinical services we have a purpose designed manufacturing facility in Leeds which provides high quality, full spectrum Prosthetic and Orthotic manufacturing as well as a local manufacturing facility supporting clinics in the North-East of England.
Allied to our clinical services, the company is a major manufacturer and distributor of a comprehensive range of upper and lower extremity Prosthetic and Orthotic components, Reciprocating Gait Orthoses and custom silicone cosmeses. This allows our clinicians to offer our clients real clinical choice and ensures the highest levels of patient care.
Our Meditech IT division provides standard and bespoke software to administer clinical, operational and performance management in the healthcare sector.
To complete our range of rehabilitation services, our Assistive Technologies Division designs, manufactures, services and maintains electronic systems that enable elderly and severely disabled people to live more independently and safely either within their own home, or a care facility.
RSLSteeper are accredited to the following standards ISO 9001 : 2008, ISO 27001 : 2005, The Tick IT guide issue 5 and are FDA approved for prosthetic and orthotic supply to the USA. As a medical device manufacturer we also fully compliant with the requirements of the Medical Devices Directive 93/42/EEC.
